Who We Are

Our names are Shane and Clodagh. We are an Irish couple  travelling the world. After getting bored of our normal 9-5 life at home, we decided to pack our bags and go on an adventure. Our passion for travel started a couple of years ago, and it's growing every day. We're on a mission to explore the far reaches of the world, immerse ourselves in local cultures, meet interesting people, have fun and overcome the trials and tribulations associated of travelling on a tight budget.

Our Travel Style

We believe that the best travel experiences come from stepping beyond the usual tourist hotspots and immersing ourselves in the real essence of a place. Whether it’s the energy of a bustling city, the charm of a quiet village, or the raw beauty of untouched landscapes, we seek out authenticity on every trip. Generally, we avoid day trips and guided tours as we like to travel on our own steam.

For us, travel isn’t just about seeing a place—it’s about experiencing it, so we don't rush or place any time limits on ourselves. We take it all in, day-by-day, hour-by-hour, enjoying every step of the journey.

Why We Started This

You may be thinking - "Isn't there already lots of travel blogs and Youtube channels out there, what makes these guys different to everyone else ?" - and you'd be correct.

However, the more we looked, the more we kept seeing the same generic content and the same overdone locations. So, we decided to take a chance and try our hand at it. We want to provide helpful, enjoyable, insightful and informative content featuring really unique locations. We also want to show that it's possible to travel the world on a small budget without losing out on experiences.

What Content to Expect

We are not just about ticking off tourist spots; we want to explore and understand new cultures, try local delicacies, have fun and truly experience life on the road.

On this blog, we will share our backpacking journey. From staying in hostels to meeting amazing people and navigating the ups and downs of life as a backpacker.

This space is all about real, unfiltered experiences. We will share practical travel tips, stories, and lessons that we have learnt along the way and will each add our own content separately to appeal to our different interests and perspectives.

From the Youtube Channel, you can expect long-form videos showing the real side of destinations. We want our videos to feel like episodes where the viewer is joining us on the adventure. Follow our adventures here and on YouTube.
